Details

Visit Montmartre and step back in time to the Belle Époque, a golden age of creativity and excess, when the cancan electrified cabarets and artists lingered over absinthe in all-night Cafés.

Once a remote village on the outskirts of Paris, the 19th century saw this neighborhood transform into the bohemian and artistic center of the city.

Join us on a guided tour and explore the cobbled streets and hidden corners of this iconic neighborhood. Begin at the legendary Moulin Rouge, where your expert guide will reveal the fascinating origins of Montmartre's artistic and cultural legacy. Visit the homes of Van Gogh and Picasso, see the district's hidden vineyard, and stop by the charming Café where Amélie was filmed. You'll even meet today's working artists as you explore the bustling Place du Tertre.

Finally, marvel at the gleaming white domes of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica before taking in breathtaking views of Paris from this incredible vantage point. For an unforgettable experience, join us for an evening tour to watch the sunset over the City of Light (season permitting).

My family and I love this tour! Tamara was an excellent tour guide. Her extensive studies in art history really paid off for giving a tour such as this one. We loved learning all the details as to where different artists lived and where they painted their paintings. We also saw a lot of interesting sites such as the Je t’aime wall. Tamari was fantastic! Warm, fun, friendly and so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Paris and its colourful artistic scene, She took us to interesting places we wouldn’t have found, gave insider tips on places to visit, eat and drink, and brought to life the lives of the famous artists such as Van Gogh, Renoir, Le Trec and more. We had great communication before the tour too and couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Eden was an exceptional guide.

We had the pleasure of touring Montmartre with Eden, and she was exceptional. Thoughtful, warm, and incredibly attentive, she adapted the tour to suit our group’s interests and pace for some who were a bit slower, making the experience feel personal and effortless. Her English was flawless, and she communicated clearly and engagingly throughout. The tour was well-paced and full of local insights we would have never discovered on our own. Eden’s passion for the area really came through. Highly recommended! Thank you!

Very accommodating tour guide

Our tour guide Eden was very knowledgeable regarding the Montmartre area and was very accommodating of my mobility issues. She allowed for me to get up the hills at a slower pace without creating a difficult situation for the others on the tour. She also provided her cellphone number so we could meet at Sacre Coeur as I took the funicular to the top while she climbed the stairs with the others.

Montmatre with Alisdair - a must do !!

A must do tour if you’re visiting the sights of Montmartre. Alisdair was fantastic!!!We chose the 5pm tour that lasted approximately 2.5hrs and it was money well spent. A million times better than wandering around yourself. If you’re lucky enough to get him, Alisdair’s story telling was next level - elevated us into the world of the 1800-1900’s - a bygone era for famous artists and iconic places around the area.Captivating tour, even in the rain - tour ends near Sacre Coeur (recommended to visit after tour with free entry)! Thanks again Alisdair for such a fun and fascinating tour -We...

Great tour guide!

We did the tour this evening and Daniel was just lovely. He shared so much of his knowledge about Montmartre and really brought the history of the area to life. He even sang a couple of songs tying the stories all together. He was very sensitive to one of our attendees and her need to go slower, which showed his kindness. I would definitely do another tour with Daniel… I know he does tours at the Louvre so if I get to go there again, I’ll be looking him up!
