Francois was our tour guide and did an excellent job of explaining all about the Marais district to the group. He was extremely knowledgeable and fun! Not to be missed… Francois was terrific!

Our guide Francois was absolutely amazing. His tour of the Marais with the Jewish quarter was rich with the history of the area going back to ancient times up to the present. So moving, a definite highlight of our trip. We learned so much and I’m still thinking about everything he covered, from the sad and bittersweet to the sweet. Not to be missed, Jews and non-Jews alike!

Walking Through Le Marais and the Jewish Quarter

Me and my wife had a deeply moving and insightful walking tour of Le Marais with Tamari last week. The moving history of Marais from a swamp, to burgois, Jewish and todays youth was fascinating but also the vivid descriptions and sites of bloody revolution time and hood 2nd world war was scary.
