Great tour with a superlative guide

Kevin was a fantastic guide. As an artist and an art historian, he had insights about the art we saw and the artists who produced it that we would never have gotten on our own. (I mean, we've all seen ancient Egyptian art, but I'd never known how it was created, what it meant, and how it fit in with the beliefs of the people back then.) The tour was well-paced and entertaining, and we learned about the background of the art we saw, the artists who created it, and its place at The Met. Highly recommended.

Good highlights tour for beginners

This was a very entertaining tour that would work for families as well as friends and solo travelers. Our tour guide, Charlie, was warm and kind and had many fun stories to share - both about the artists we saw as well as his life growing up in nyc. This is a very fast-paced, high-level overview of the museum so not for those interested in a really nuanced or detailed discussion of art, but great for those who are visiting that want to hit a few highlights and get a sense of the grandeur of the Met.

Exceptional private tour of the Met

We had the absolute privilege of taking a private tour of The Met with Katherine, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Katherine is a true connoisseur of art—deeply knowledgeable, eloquent, and passionate in a way that brings every piece to life. She thoughtfully curated our experience, weaving in fascinating insights while guiding us through hidden corners and masterpieces we would have surely overlooked on our own. What impressed me most was how attentive she was to our personal interests. She ensured we spent time in the wings that mattered most to me, while still surprising us with treasures and perspectives...

Perfect afternoon exploring this amazing museum

What a fun tour with Rob C! This was my friends’ and my first time at the Met and we felt overwhelmed by the scale, so we booked this tour. What a fun afternoon! It was the perfect way to discover the museum, navigate through the many eras and learn so many fun back stories about the art and the museum. I particularly enjoyed seeing my first Vermeer in real life, and the incredible Impressionist collection that the museum assembled.
