Jaime was fantastic! He took us through both museums pointing out many pieces of art, while at the same time giving us lots of background and really interesting stories. We had lunch at a cafe in-between. The whole experience was like touring the museums with a friend in Madrid. I would highly recommend this tour and Jaime!

Phenomenal tour of the Prado and Reina Sofia museums! Our tour guide, Jaime, was energetic and knowledgeable - a true art history expert. He tailored the tour for our interests. He had an iPad, which he used to show us relevant historical figures and details, helping us learn the greater contexts of the art displayed in the museums. We had a great time and learned so much. We will definitely be seeking out Jaime if we return to Madrid.

The tour was amazing and the Palace was beautiful! Our tour guide was phenomenal, he was very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining the history of the country. Even after the tour we were finding things that he connected to the tour. Very much recommend.

Both the Prado and the Reina Sofia are treasures, but what makes them even more special, is how close and intimate they feel, especially in a private tour setting. Ana, our guide, was amazing and gave us an incredible amount of information not just about the artworks but also their context in the history of Spain. She helped us understand the artists and their life story, and was great at pointing out details we easily would have missed otherwise. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

It was an excellent experience. Our guide, Ángel, was professional, knowledgeable, fun and engaging. He is an art professor so his knowledge level was of very high caliber. We are traveling with our two teenage daughters and the way he explained the art painting and pieces was very appealing and fun!!! Museo del Prado is a most!!! We are glad we took this tour as it is a very large museum and Ángel took us to the main paintings the ones that you can’t missed!!! Jamie was an incredibly engaging and informative tour guide helping provide historical context, presenting nuanced details to each piece he presented, and when appropriate, cross walking artistic perspectives with time and interpretation. Alfonso spent over five hours with us on a comprehensive and very personal tour of the two museums. His knowledge of the art and of the Spanish culture surrounding the art was outstanding. He was able to respond to our individualized needs to understand more about the individual artists and paintings. it is hard to pick a highlight, but certainly culminating the tour with Picasso’s.
