Details

Discover the Prado Museum, Spain's most prestigious art institution and one of the world's most celebrated collections of European masterpieces.

Jaime was a great guide. I had been to the Prado years ago without a guide and was overwhelmed in the past. This time, he made the highlights come alive — I will remember these paintings forever!

We did a guided tour of the Prado Museum with Sergio and it was a very pleasant experience. He explained the works in a clear and accessible way, and made the tour interesting both for those who already knew some art and those who did not.He was able to choose the key pieces well, without overwhelming with too much information, and he provided some data and views that made it easier to understand the context of each work. You could tell he had experience and knew how to adapt the content to the group.Overall, a very well-kept visit. Recommended if...

The Prado was incredible. So many wonderful pieces of art. This was even better because of our wonderful tour guide Rosita. She was so knowledgeable about the art, the artist and the history. The tour covers all the important parts of the museum. Rosita enjoyed sharing her wisdom, and made sure we saw all the highlights and more.

Prado Museum small group tour

The Prado Museum was mesmerizing. We lost sense of time, after our guided tour concluded, we ended up wandering for hours longer. There is just so much to see. Our tour guide, Rosita, was incredible. She was enthusiastic and passionate about art, and the history behind the art, artists, and the country of Spain. Her knowledge and insights brought out a great deal of perspective and backstory that really enriched our enjoyment of art pieces she emphasized. There were main hall pieces, but also side trips and perspectives of lesser pieces that were very interesting. As we concluded, she was...

Fantastic tour with professional guide

Beatriz brought passion and knowledge to our tour. She made sure to give detail when needed but not to overwhelm with minutia. She keep the pace lively and still gave us more than enough to consider. Were we to do this or another tour again, we would most definitely ask for Beatriz!

Rosita - Exceptional, Personable, Knowledgeable and Fun!

Rosita was incredible! She met us outside, and was immediately welcoming. She wanted to learn about us personally and then began the tour. During the tour she was extremely knowledgeable, even with questions regarding more history! She also made us feel very comfortable, to ask questions and not be scared if it was a “silly” one. She was lively and exciting. We could feel her enthusiasm when she spoke and it really made us feel excited! If you’re a beginner or an experienced visitor( you cannot go wrong with Rosita! I can’t wait to hopefully see her again on another...

Masterful tour of the Spanish masters

In the course of 2.5 hours with Ana M., we felt our brains expanding with all the knowledge of Spanish art that we were acquiring, along with the historical context in which that art was made. Great combination of accessibility and depth — truly worth every penny.

Excellent personalized tour of the Prado.

Our family loved our tour of the Prado Museum with David. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and fun. He added a few paintings at our request and delivered an ad hoc talk on the spot. We peppered him with tough questions and he was completely up to the task. Would be happy to have him guide us around other cultural sites. Highly recommended.

Amazing tour, worth it

David was an amazing tour guide who not only provided important context to the paintings as we saw them, but constructed a narrative as we walked through the museum. He picked out several of the most important artists and took us through the museum as he constructed the narrative, chronologically, from one artist to the next. Specifically the information he provided on Goya was incredible and changed my perspective on the man. Incredible tour.

Fabulous, personalized tour!

Our tour guide, Andrea, was fabulous. She brought great knowledge and passion around the history of the museum and the various art collections. We received advance communications which allowed our meet up to be extremely smooth. Andrea kept our teenage daughters engaged, and we all had a great experience at the Prado! Andrea even gave us a list of her favorite restaurants in Madrid at the end of the tour!

2 1/2 Hours Well Spent!!!

I signed up for this small group guided tour. None of the other participants showed up so it was just me and the tour guide Michelle A. He was amazing and I learned a great deal more from him than if I had just wandered around the Prado on my own. He was very knowledgeable and took no short cuts even though I was the only one in the "group". He was truly interested in making sure I got the most out of my time at the Prado. This was 2 1/2 hours well spent.
