When you visit Amsterdam, keep in mind that there are lots of fun activities to fill up your day. You won’t be bored. If you are into design and eating incredible food, then you should check out The Culinary Workshop. It looks like a highly conceptual design studio and restaurant all in one. Located in Westerpark, designers Eric Meursing and Marjolein Wintjes let their imaginations run wild in the kitchen. The themes of the dishes are quite extraordinary, and have to be tried to understand the magic behind them all. The chefs use organic and sustainable ingredients, as well as always look for new tastes, food pairings, and even a new way of eating. Once you have finished your meal, you get to decide what a fair price would be for the meal you just had. It’s really a beautiful experience. If you’re up for trying something different, the Canal dinner cruises are really something else. This dining experience isn’t available anywhere else in the world. You will be weaving between historic canal houses and drifting under fairy-lit bridges. The night will be something special to remember.
There’s a place called Vuurtoreneiland’s Summer Restaurant. It’s for the adventurous diner in you that will take a boat to a nearby deserted island to enjoy a 4-course meal in a specially constructed greenhouse. This pop-up restaurant experience is a popular culinary draw, so make sure to book in advance. You won’t want to miss out on this one. At a different place called Hungry Bird Food Tours, you will get to eat while touring Amsterdam. It’s a cozy food tour that will take you off the beaten tourist track to allow you to experience the various tastes of the city. You will stop at more than 10 foodie locations including cafes, street markets, and hidden gem restaurants. To all the meat lovers around, head along to The Butcher. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see a life-sized cow hanging upside down in the window. It looks like a regular burger joint, but the place has a secret. You will need a password to unlock The Butcher’s secrets. It’s a fun little stop with a little bit of adventure. Enjoy eating.
