Wonderfully informative tour with Diana! It even began outside of the Rijksmuseum, pointing out the security feature under the ceiling where the “Nightwatch” would drop should it come under any risk!It was also quite a treat to see the conservationists at work on “Nightwatch” even if we couldn’t see the real painting up close.Loved all the details she highlighted in Rembrandt’s and Vermeer’s work, plus the cultural and historical context.I am also grateful for her carrying my water bottle since we were made to put our gear in lockers!

This was our first visit to Amsterdam, and we really wanted to see the Rijksmuseum and thought it would be best done with a guide, since the museum is huge, and we had limited time. This tour was excellent, and so much fun! Our guide Clare has extensive knowledge of the artists and their style of painting. Also, she made the trip very entertaining with background information, and she was very good at navigating the crowds in a professional manner. Having a smaller group allowed us all to ask questions and freely interact. I would definitely do this tour again...

I’m so glad we booked the semi-private tour of the museum—there’s no way we would have learned as much on a self-guided visit. It was truly money well spent. Our guide, Jacopo, was outstanding. His passion for the arts and deep knowledge of Van Gogh shone through in every story he told. He brought the paintings to life with vivid descriptions and fascinating insights into Van Gogh’s life and family. The time flew by, and I left wanting to learn even more. Highly recommend this tour—it was absolutely worth it!

Heart string pulling artwork presented beautifully and with majesty. Our tour guide Clare was on point, well educated in art, very easy to talk to and with and even when presented engineering questions thru the images presented in the paintings had an intelligent input based on experience. Clare turned us loose for lunch but still keeping tabs via WhatsApp. My many thanks for making this come to life.

We had an outstanding day with our guide, Frank. He gave us lots of historical background and zoomed in on interesting artistic aspects of the various paintings. He led us through the enormous Rijksmuseum to find all the important works and also gave us very detailed information about the life of Vincent van Gogh.

Wow! What an awesome museum tour! We spent 6 hours with the amazing Anna touring the Riijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. She was such a pleasure to be with. We learned so much from her as she brought the paintings and artists to life for us. She is very passionate about art and made her stories so interesting, entertaining and educational. I can’t recommend her enough if you are lucky enough to have her as your guide. She is a gem who made our tour the best of our vacation.

I experienced one of the best tours of my life with Ewald. His stories, knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm brought everything alive and kept our group engaged for the whole day!! He also communicated well before the tour so I knew exactly where and how to meet him. Definitely worth it to do this tour rather than a pre-recorded tour or wandering on your own. Whether you choose to tour both museums in a single day or in 2 half days, I can’t recommend Ewald highly enough!!

This is an amazing tour. Our guide, Anna N., uses her knowledge of politics to provide a unique and insightful perspective on the art industry generally as well as notable works of art in the Rijks and VG Museum. She is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She is also very funny! Lastly, we were running a few minutes late and she graciously waited for us, followed by a wonderful and extensive tour of both museums.
