Great tour in Amsterdam

We enjoyed a fun, fact-filled day with the lovely Dominique. She was prompt, patient, informative and everything you want in a tour guide. She showed us in 5 hours the highlights of both the Rijksmuseum and a small swath of historic Amsterdam. That’s is no small task as this city is filled with so much to share. She was very flexible about changing this up as needed. She is well schooled, intelligent and informed Don’t miss an opportunity to use Dominique to learn in a high energy, but fun day as much as you can about this vibrant city.

Thoughtful, Challenging, Exceptional.

Anna was our tour guide and she was not only knowledgeable, but she challenged all of us on the tour to think critically and realistically about the art we viewed in the context of the time it was painted or created and the actual history of the artist. She also advised us to always question the sources of the information as for many artist their history and background is spotty at best and non existent at worst. We could have easily gone on for two more hours listening and participating in the conversation with Anna.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I don't think we would have truly understood the paintings as we did with her guidance. My teenage son was engaged the whole time and asked questions. Great time

No when you're wrong... and correct the situation!

My son and I had booked a Skip-the-Line: Private Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam Walking Tour. The Tour was suddenly interrupted after fifteen minutes because of a general power outage. Frustration got the better of me and I rated the experience as “poor”. Very unfair for our Tour guide according to my son… and he is right! The power failure had nothing to do with the quality of service, I recognize. Our guide, Victoria, was a true professional with an absolute mastering of her subject. The person in charge, Dario, went out of his way to correct the situation and make sure...

Babylon Tours is the only way to see Amsterdam

We were in Paris in September was discovered Babylon tours there and the tours were fantastic. So when we elected to visit Amsterdam a year later, Babylon was the first place we turned and, once again, we were not disappointed despite our high expectations. Our guide was friendly, knowledgable, helpful and professional. She not only clearly knows Amsterdam and art, but also knows what people enjoy viewing, how to present the works in a way that interesting and how to tell a story that ties the entire tour together. Clearly Babylon knows how to find, train, and keep terrific guides,...

Excellent and knowledgeable guide.

We had an excellent tour. Jacopo was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the artists and their history. We learnt so much more than if we had visited the museum on our own. He cleverly navigated various school groups and we saw everything we set out to see- and more. Many many thanks!
