Alex was the worlds best tour guide! He was fantastic! We had a ten year old and a thirteen year old and two adults. We all loved history but thought that we really lacked any l relevant knowledge, especially for the children. Alex selected items as we went round the museum that were the best fit for us. His passion REALLY enthused us! He was patient, thoughtful and efficient. We would like to go on more tours with Alex. If you want to visit The British Museum and you have a group like ours, you must do this small group tour, otherwise it could be overwhelming.I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.

Manny thanks to Becky for making our history tour a succes

Probably our best tour of the bunch. Only 4 of us, including Angus, our guide, who was very knowledgeable, courteous, funny, and witty. Good highlights tour of a huge facility. Pace was about right.

Our tour with Becky was amazing! She knew so much about everything we saw and made the experience much more rich than it would have been if we had just wandered through on our own. Totally recommend this tour!

We signed up for a semi-private tour of the British Museum while were in London. Our guide, Becky, was truly amazing! We were late finding her our fault, not hers, but she was warm and welcoming and glad to see us. She was very familiar with the museum and very knowledgeable about the history of all the exhibits. We asked her so many questions, and she answered them all with so many interesting details. She was considerate about asking if we needed to sit down or use the facilities. She was so professional. The only problem we had was the crowds, but that's typical when touring in the summer. We will definitely make use of Viator again!

This was a wonderful tour. We cannot cay enough about our tour guide, Becky, she was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Her efforts made our tour of the museum a wonderful experience. She was GREAT!

Our guide was wonderful! A young Australia man that has duel citizenship! We enjoy the 2 hour overview and highlight he provided on the tour. This is such a large museum, a person can spend a few days viewing all the artifacts and still not see every display! Even thought it's a free museum, it's worth having a guide for the first time attendees.

Our tour guide was great. She was very knowledgeable and she really gave us an insight on the best highlight of the British museum. Very well worth it!

Our guide Kathy was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the contents of the museum. She asked the tour members what types of things we were interested in seeing, and made sure we got to all of them. She shared her personal insight on the historical value of many items in the museum, and guided us to view several items that were very interesting even though not well known. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

We took this tour because the museum is so big and we were limited with time so we wanted to get the most out of our afternoon and we did. Cathy was our guide and she did a great job. She was very knowledgeable and we got the see and understand what we were seeing and it was worth it. We would do this tour again and ask for her. She did a great job.

What was a small group tour turned out to be a private tour with Kathy. She was knowledgeable, affable and very considerate of my husband's health issues. She knew the Museum very well and guided us to the important pieces of the Museum. We had a great time and would recommend Kathy and this tour to anyone.

Great way to make your first visit to the British Museum. Becky is very nice, very knowledgeable of this place and she's great at explaining the highlights of the museum. Plan to take the first available tour in order to be able to stay afterwards and check the museum in depth, it is worthwhile because the museum is huge and very interesting.

My 17 year old son and I really enjoyed the 2 hour guided tour of the British Museum with Jake. We arrived a bit late due to traffic and through my own fault, missed the meeting place. Jake took the trouble to find us and for the next 2 hours there wasn't a boring moment.Next time we are back, we'll do another.

What a lovely group of people to work with! I had booked the tour for 2 pm but they were not able to provide a guide at that time and asked if we could switch to the 10am tour. That made it awfully tight -- arriving, transferring to the hotel, storing luggage, meeting up with friends and getting to the museum. They accommodated us by adjusting the time and with the last minute addition of 2 more to our group. We were fortunate to have Becky as our tour guide to make sure we saw the highlights of the museum and allowing our diverse group to make numerous stops along the way. This is an amazing museum! If you want to make sure you see the best of this museum's offerings, this tour is the way to go!
