We had a wonderful tour with Athena who was delightful to learn from as she guided us expertly through the Cathedral of Notre Dame and then detailed the history of the city as we walked to the Place de la Concorde!

Our guide was Athina who was wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable about all art and very personable. She made the trip to the Louvre a very enjoyable experience. Definitely one of the best tour guides my wife and have ever had. What a gem!

Although the tour was a bit pricey, we had an individual tour with a great guide. Alexander was very knowledgeable and "simpático" with his explanations. He took us through the important places in Louvre and D'orsay, which can be overwhelming because of the size of...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

My husband and I hope to travel from Frankfurt Airport to Paris by ICE Train on March 31. Suggestions about that because we seem to manage to get on the wrong trains quite often. Once in Paris, we will only have the rest of that day, the night, and part of the following day to spend in Paris. Is there a tour to take so we can get the feel of Paris and see several sights? We are in our 60's and both can walk distances. We would love to see 'inside' the Louvre, but unless it's raining would rather spend our time outside. Neither of us have been to Paris before, so we don't have a clue about where to stay that would make it easy to get from train station to hotel to tour company pick up, where to have lunch, dinner, etc. What type of weather should be expect on March 31-April 1 ? We want to see as much as possible in a very short time !
