Walk through Amsterdam’s Jewish quarter and learn about how the citizens of Amsterdam coped with one of the most significant events in European history. You’ll get a real sense of the fear and horror experienced by all – but don’t worry, we won’t go into ALL the gory details. Listen to the history of Dorwerker statue and marvel at the brass plates known as the Stolpersteine, which represent the names of those deported, as you hear about several events, such as the February Strike.
We know you’ve all heard of Anne Frank, but how much of her fascinating yet tragic story do you actually know? Get a unique glimpse of her life in hiding where we’ll reveal exclusive stories about her time in the secret annexe. Learn about the infamous story of her diary and how it came to be published after her death. At the end of the tour you’ll be left in both shock and awe yet left an expert on this courageous figure. While we’re sad we can’t finish your journey with you, your guide will set you up for your entry to the house, making sure you have everything you need! To make the most out of this experience, we encourage you to keep your day as free as you can, as your start time may vary on busier days.
